Customer Service Training Manager designs and delivers training programs for customer service representatives, team leaders, and supervisors. Prepares instructive updates and details on new products, features, and service offerings. Being a Customer Service Training Manager designs a training curriculum and role-playing exercises to develop selling, service delivery, issue resolution, and interpersonal communication skills. Creates and maintains documentation and resources used to instruct staff on service level standards, system tools, and policies and procedures. Additionally, Customer Service Training Manager assesses training effectiveness and defines future needs by reviewing and analyzing staff performance metrics. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Customer Service Training Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Customer Service Training Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.     Work schedule: Full time, Monday – Friday, 9:30 am – 4:00 pm

    Essential Duties:

    • Plan, develop and conduct officer training certification programs in compliance with MTC and TDCJ directive.
    • Responsible for the maintenance and documentation of all certificates including pre-service and in-service training records.
    • Create systems to effectively manage the process at both facilities.
    • Travel between the assigned facilities is required.
    • Establish periodic and annual review of certification accreditation and pre-service training programs.
    • Ensure that all clerical and support staff attend Correctional Awareness Training in compliance with MTC and TDCJ requirements.
    • Ensure all staff complete annual in-service training requirements.
    • Ensure that all appropriate personnel are scheduled and complete staff survivor training according to contractual requirements.

    Qualifications:

    • Graduation from an accredited senior high school or equivalent (GED).
    • Two (2) years full-time, wage-earning instructing, staff development, training, teaching, correctional custody, or law enforcement experience to include one (1) year in the supervision of employees.
    • Each year of experience may be substituted for thirty semester hours from an accredited college or university on a year-for-year basis.
    • Successful completion of an Instructor Training Program within six months of assignment.
    • Curriculum development or evaluation experience preferred.
    • A valid driver’s license in the state of Texas with an acceptable driving record required, unless waived by management.
    • Must successfully complete annual, TDCJ approved background checks and in-service training requirements.
