Job responsibilities: Directly supervises the construction trades supervisor, certification trainer, designated career technical training instructors and secretary. Responsible for the management of career technical training programs which includes on- and off-center training, national contractor training, and CTST projects management.

Essential functions:

• Plan, coordinate and manage the administrative and programmatic activities of the department
• Provide staff training, evaluate staff performance, and implement departmental changes as approved by the center director and coordinated with the manager
• Develop departmental budget; monitor and control expenditures, and review and recommend changes to budget authorizations
• Develop and implement new and revised policies and procedures affecting assigned departments; coordinate with other departments to ensure compliance of overall center objectives
• Regularly assess and audit department for contractual compliance and quality of services to students; prepare audit and assessment reports

Education and Experience Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree and 3 years related experience OR post-secondary education/ technical training and 6 years related experience
• 2 must be in a supervisor capacity
• Experience with youth, excellent written and verbal communication skills and computer proficiency required
A valid driver license in the state where the facility is located with an acceptable driving record is required, unless waived by management.
