Job Overview: We are seeking a reliable and hardworking individual to join our team as a Dock Hand. As a Dock Hand, you will play a crucial role in assisting with the loading and unloading of cargo, ensuring the smooth operation of our dock area. This is a physically demanding role that requires attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities: - Assist with the loading and unloading of cargo from trucks, ships, or other transportation vehicles - Secure cargo using appropriate rigging techniques - Operate mechanical equipment such as forklifts or cranes to move cargo - Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dock area - Follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment - Communicate effectively with team members to coordinate tasks and ensure efficient operations Skills: - Strong physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects - Mechanical knowledge to operate equipment such as forklifts or cranes - Attention to detail to ensure accurate handling of cargo - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines - Excellent communication skills to collaborate with team members If you are a motivated individual with a strong work ethic and the ability to thrive in a dynamic environment, we encourage you to apply for the position of Dock Hand.
