Cytogenetic Technologist jobs in Roanoke, VA
Cytogenetic Technologist performs microscopic analysis for cytogenetic studies on biological specimens. Analyzes chromosomes for prenatal diagnosis, congenital birth defects, fertility problems and hematological disorders. Being a Cytogenetic Technologist is responsible for harvesting cells, image analysis, and results reporting. Requires a bachelor's degree. Additionally, Cytogenetic Technologist typically reports to a supervisor or manager. Typically requires certification as a Clinical Laboratory Scientist. Job Description
As a CT technologist, you will use computerized tomography to take medical images of patients for diagnostic purposes. Working in a hospital, outpatient center, private practice, imaging center or other healthcare facility, you'll prepare patients for CT scans, operate CT equipment, process images for radiologists and physicians and handle patient records. - ARRT Certification
- BLS Certification (AHA)
- Current state license (if applicable)
