Cytogenetic Technologist performs microscopic analysis for cytogenetic studies on biological specimens. Analyzes chromosomes for prenatal diagnosis, congenital birth defects, fertility problems and hematological disorders. Being a Cytogenetic Technologist is responsible for harvesting cells, image analysis, and results reporting. Requires a bachelor's degree. Additionally, Cytogenetic Technologist typically reports to a supervisor or manager. Typically requires certification as a Clinical Laboratory Scientist. Days: $31.16 - $40.37
Evenings: $32.76 - $41.97
Nights: $32.76 – $42.97
Graduation from an AMA-approved school of Radiologic Technology.
Is currently eligible for and/or holds a New York State license in Radiologic Technology.
Attains and maintains registry with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in CT.

Job Summary:
Qualified candidate will possess knowledge and understanding of general anatomy, physiology and medical terminology. CT Tech will maintain all registries and licenses required by state and federal law. Proficiency with most major Radiology equipment, manufacturer’s hardware and software needed. Ability to comply with on- call specifics. Candidate must have the ability to work in both CT and Diagnostic Radiology.
