DME Technician jobs in Altoona, PA

The DME Technician drives a delivery van and delivers, exchanges, sets up and picks up medical equipment supplies at the patients’ location (residence, adult care home, assisted living, long term care facility, etc.). Some on call required.

• Check all paperwork with dispatch.
• Selection of clean, properly operating equipment for delivery, loading of vehicles.
• Check vehicles safety, fluid levels, etc.; manifest, hazardous materials and legal documentation requirements.
• Complete all morning pick-ups and deliveries per dispatch.
• Return to base for afternoon dispatch information.
• Afternoon pick-ups and deliveries, as needed.
• Secure of vehicle during and at the end of the work period.
• Off load equipment, clean & restock equipment and vehicle (inside & out) each day.
• Perform minimal maintenance on vehicle, as needed.
• Assist other staff, as needed.

Able to deal effectively with the elderly. Must have a valid, appropriate driver’s license. Able to lift 80 pounds from a squatting to standing position. Able to climb multiple flights of stairs regularly, and drive safely.
