As a growing leader in the Durable Medical Equipment industry, Midsouth Medical, Inc., is seeking to add a billing specialist to our team.

DME Billing Specialist

Individuals will be trained on insurance guidelines for home medical equipment.

Duties:

*Review and analyze medical records and documentation to ensure accurate coding and billing *Assign appropriate medical codes using ICD-10 and HCPCS *Verify patient insurance coverage and process claims for reimbursement *Follow up on unpaid claims and resolve any billing discrepancies or denials *Collaborate with healthcare providers to obtain missing or additional information for billing purposes *Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations *Stay updated on changes in medical coding guidelines and regulations

Skills:

*Proficient in medical billing procedures and terminology *Strong knowledge of ICD-10 and other coding systems *Attention to detail and accuracy in coding and billing processes *Excellent communication skills to interact with healthcare providers, insurance companies, and patients *Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment *Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and medical billing software

Note: Previous experience in the following skills/roles is preferred and beneficial but not required: medical and/or customer service, medical billing, obtaining authorizations, DME, physician office experience and ICD10 knowledge is helpful. Training will be provided.

Available shifts and compensation: We have available shifts all days of the week. Compensation is $12.00 - $14.00/hour.
