DME Technician is responsible for a facility's durable medical equipment. Duties include selecting and ordering equipment and ensuring equipment delivery to facility and appropriate users. Being a DME Technician tests and maintains equipment to ensure proper functionality. Provides training on use of equipment. Additionally, DME Technician requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The DME Technician may require 0-1 year of general work experience. Overview:
We are seeking a DME fitter/ authorization specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in fitting Durable Medical Equipment (DME) as well as obtaining prior authorization, and obtaining orders. If you have experience in DME, we will train for certification.
Responsibilities:
- Orthopedic Durable Medical Equipment fitting knowledge.
- Check-in patients, verify benefits, pre-authorize insurance
- Previous Medicare guideline and LCD knowledge
- Fitting of DME per Orthotist/Physician order
Requirements:
- Previouse Brace Shop, Orthopedic DME, Orthopedic office experience
- Current knowledge of Medicare guidelines
- Fitting Certification or will train right person
- Goal oriented, fast paced, independant thinker, with a team attitude

Pay: $15.00 - $23.13 per hour
