Timberline Building Systems specializes in general contracting, site infrastructure, and storm water management and erosion control. We strive to provide conceptual design and pricing on all projects in less than a week and provide tools like virtual reality tours of your project to better your experience with building design.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Operation and routine daily inspections of equipment associated with trail jobs, including dozers and mini excavators
- Maintains proper correspondence with project partners throughout all stages of the job
- Ability to assess corridors both existing and future in the field on varied terrain and in varied climatic conditions
- The EQ may also assist the PM with design & layout of trails on larger projects while implementing smaller project designs and reroutes with crews
- Occasional work may be required and encouraged to help motivate crews
- Performs other functions as assigned

Be willing to travel throughout Colorado

Minimum of 4 years mechanized building experience

Minimum of 2 years of experience in mini excavators and/or dozers

Ability to interpret electronic, hard, and verbal plans through use of GPS, GIS, and other electronic tools

Proven track record of managing a crew and facilitating a team-based environment

Must have a hands-on, working knowledge of the type of work assigned – choosing and operating proper equipment (excavators, dozers, and chainsaw), and the ability to perform basic evaluation and repair equipment

Creative, pro-active problem-solving skills

Demonstrate leadership skills and the ability to inspire others to their full potential

Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English

Attendance at training sessions and/or seminars including annual PTBA Conference

Proficient with computers and the Microsoft Office Suite

Valid Colorado Driver’s License and approval by Timberline’s insurance company

Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate and manage well at all levels of the organization and with staff at remote locations

Must be highly adaptable to the kinds of change that comes along with working in an entrepreneurial environment

Must pass post-offer background check consisting of employment history, personal/professional references, criminal record, and MVR

Must be willing to do things outside of your job description. All team members help and support other departments when necessary

This job is an outdoor job which will require exposure to variable weather conditions, sometimes extreme
Physical demands and work environment

Ability to lift to up to 50 lbs. (use of lifting equipment or 2-person lift over 50lbs.)

Frequent bending, twisting, reaching, crawling, stretching and standing. This is a physically demanding role, involving, tools and equipment. May at times be highly physical work.

Must have good physical fitness and agility. A sense of balance and head for heights.

PPE is provided other than steel toed boots.
