Darkroom Attendant processes x-ray film through the use of automatic developing machines or a mixture of chemicals and water. Reloads film and plate holders. Being a Darkroom Attendant ensures delivery of developed films to proper medical personnel. May require a high school diploma or its equivalent. Additionally, Darkroom Attendant typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Darkroom Attendant possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. Responsible to : Environmental Services DirectorScope of Responsibility : Perform routine cleaning of all Resident apartments in the Edgewater Place community.
Provide a clean environment for Edgewater Place residents, staff and visitors.Essential Functions : Rating (for evaluation purposes only)D.
Work with Resident Assistants to update various schedules : bed making, cleaning, laundry etc. E. Cleaning Tasks in Resident Apartments : a.
Vacuum carpet. Small or lightweight furniture should be moved for vacuuming. b. Dust and polish furniture. Dust knick-knack shelves.
Defrost freezer as needed. e. Check refrigerator for food that should be discarded. Discard as needed. f. Clean bathroom.
Clean mirrors, shelves, wall ornaments, towel dispenser, paper holder, etc. Clean and disinfect entire toilet. Mop floor completely.
g. Check for cobwebs around walls, corners and light fixtures. h. Check and clean doorknobs and handles. i. Vacuum couch and chairs.
j. Clean windows as needed. k. Maintain sweepers by cleaning filters and hose once a month. l. Clean any spots on carpet immediately and notify ESD for any additional cleaning.
F. Gather, wash and fold resident laundry.G. Assist with "deep clean" of apartments when resident moves out.H. Adhere to good workings habits, in accordance with Edgewater expectations.
I. Perform other duties as assigned.Position Requirements : A. Education & Experience Division : 1. High school diploma or equivalent required.
2. At least six months experience in related work area and working with seniors, preferred.B. Skills and Requirements1. Flexibility and efficiency in completing tasks.
2. Relate well to residents and other guests; good verbal and written communication skills.3. Work well independently without close supervision.
4. Respond appropriately in emergencies.C. Physical / Mental Requirements & Working Conditions Employees / applicants may not pose a direct threat or significant risk to the health and safety of themselves or others.
