Being a Data Architect builds data models and defines the structure, attributes and nomenclature of data elements. May evaluate new data sources for adherence to the organization's quality standards and ease of integration. Additionally, Data Architect requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Data Architect work is closely managed. Works on projects/matters of limited complexity in a support role. Must have:
- Expertise in Snowflake data modelling, ELT using Snowflake SQL or Python to manipulate data
- Tableau - building dashboards and reports
- Strong Data background (engineer, analyst)
- VERY self-motivated. Will work with Manager initially, then let loose to dig into different divisions/areas to show what is possible, not just want is currently available. Doesn't need to be 100% with one tool, a very strong jack of all trades that understands Data and what you can accomplish with it is key. Role requires a Consulting and Product mindset.
