Preferred Qualifications
Role PurposeThe Enterprise Data Architect leads the design and development of new data architectures that source, curate, and serve data for analytic solutions from the Enterprise Data Hub (EDH). This Enterprise Data Architect reports directly to the BIDS Director of Data Architecture & Engineering. They are key decision makers in identifying and adopting industry best practices to design, develop, test, deploy, and support of complex data integration solutions. This is a hands-on technologist role that includes data modeling, development of ETL standards and mentoring to the developer team, working in an Agile development environment.
Responsibilities- Identify and adopt industry best practices and techniques to build preferment and scalable data sourcing solutions and architectures. The data resulting from these solutions is consumed by both internal and external users and solutions, with data sourced from across the health system’s business and clinical functions.
- Serve as a technical lead to the ETL Development team and Agile teams to define: new data architectures and development standards / processes, including any number of data latency use cases – batch, real time, near real time, etc.
- Continuously support research, planning, and recommendation of software and platform options to meet continuously changing business needs.
- Lead the design and data model activities for scalable data integration and database solutions on the Enterprise Data Hub. This includes providing detailed oversight of the supplier or internal development team in development and deployment of these architectures from Dev to Production environments. Proven DevOps automation experience and continuous integration/continuous delivery is preferred.
- Collaborate with technology stakeholders (BIDS Technical Operations team, Solution Architects, ETL developers, vendors) to ensure production solutions running on the EDH are reliable and preferment to the end users
