Data Center Director jobs in Clay, NY

Data Center Director directs and optimizes all operations of a data center facility to ensure data performance, availability, and security. Designs operating procedures and policies for installing, configuring, and maintaining servers, networks, and storage systems within a data center to maximize operational efficiency. Being a Data Center Director monitors environmental conditions to ensure optimal temperature, humidity, and power supply to prevent downtime and protect hardware from damage. Ensures timely, accurate, and consistent technical infrastructure service and presentation to internal and external clients. Additionally, Data Center Director coordinates with outside teams to identify and implement new systems to support existing and future business needs. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to senior management. The Data Center Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. To be a Data Center Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function.     • To advance children's physical and intellectual competence by developing programs
    • To develop programs that will support children's social and emotional development and provide positive guidance
    • To develop programs and opportunities to establish positive and productive relationships with families and external customers
    • To be responsive to the Samuel and Lydia Clark Foundation Board of Directors and Business Manager

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree, including 12 credits or in addition 12 credits in Early Childhood, Child Development or a related field; one year of full-time teaching experience in a child care center, family or group family day care home or another early childhood program; and one year of experience supervising staff in a child care program or a related work.
    • New York State Children's Program Administrator Credential; one year of full-time teaching experience in a child care center, family or group family day care home, or another early childhood program; and one year of experience supervising staff in a child care program or related field or work.
    • An Associate Degree in Early Childhood or related field, with a plan of study leading to a Bachelor's degree or a New York State Children's Program Administrator Credential; two years of full-time teaching experience in a child care center, family or group family day care home, or another early childhood program; and one year of experience supervising staff in a child care program or related field or work.
    • A Child Development Associate Credential or another Office-recognized credential, with a plan of study leading to a Bachelor's degree or a New York State Children's Program Administrator Credential; two years of full-time teaching experience in a child care center, family or group family day care home, or another early childhood program; and one year of experience supervising staff in a child care program or related field or work.
