Data Center Director directs and optimizes all operations of a data center facility to ensure data performance, availability, and security. Designs operating procedures and policies for installing, configuring, and maintaining servers, networks, and storage systems within a data center to maximize operational efficiency. Being a Data Center Director monitors environmental conditions to ensure optimal temperature, humidity, and power supply to prevent downtime and protect hardware from damage. Ensures timely, accurate, and consistent technical infrastructure service and presentation to internal and external clients. Additionally, Data Center Director coordinates with outside teams to identify and implement new systems to support existing and future business needs. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to senior management. The Data Center Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. To be a Data Center Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function. Applicants should be familiar with the USDA Child Care Food Program and have the ability to complete paperwork. Experience working with ELC School Readiness and VPK contracts and have a thorough understanding of DCF Child care facilities rules and regulations compliance. Applicants are expected to make independent decisions and apply established procedures to individual and specific situations pertaining to children in a non-biased manner. Must have effective communication/ interpersonal skills, be conscientious and able to efficiently handle multiple tasks. Must be dedicated to positively representing the company to their communities, inspiring and teaching children, and building a team of individuals who are committed to providing outstanding customer service. As well as ensuring a safe environment for the children in our care.

VPK endorsed Directors credential is a must. And minimum 2 years experience running a preschool center.
