Data Center Director directs and optimizes all operations of a data center facility to ensure data performance, availability, and security. Designs operating procedures and policies for installing, configuring, and maintaining servers, networks, and storage systems within a data center to maximize operational efficiency. Being a Data Center Director monitors environmental conditions to ensure optimal temperature, humidity, and power supply to prevent downtime and protect hardware from damage. Ensures timely, accurate, and consistent technical infrastructure service and presentation to internal and external clients. Additionally, Data Center Director coordinates with outside teams to identify and implement new systems to support existing and future business needs. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to senior management. The Data Center Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. To be a Data Center Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function. Early Childhood Center Director

  • The Global Child, LLC is seeking a Director for its Norwich, Ct location. The Director will be accountable for the day-to-day operations of the Bethel location and be able to work as a member of the team with all other directors from our other locations. This includes training and development of assigned childcare staff, hiring, ensuring quality and compliance with the program, and more.

    As the Center Director you will:
    • Lead and develop our team of passionate and nurturing educators.
    • Partner with families to promote informed involvement in all aspects of their child's care and empower them as their child's first educator and advocate.
    • Grow and maintain positive relationships with families, teachers, state licensing authorities, and community members.
    • Help grow the center’s enrollment in accordance with our goals.
    • Hire, develop, and train Teachers.
    • Ensure presence in the community, and growth of new families and children in the center.

    This role will require:
    • Strong leadership experience.
    • The ability to develop, engage, and inspire a team.
    • The ability to build relationships with families and staff.
    • Outstanding customer service skills and the ability to communicate effectively via a variety of media.
    • Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask.
    • Knowledge of state licensing and regulations.
    • Proficient computer skills.
    • The ability to work any shift between the hours of 6:30 am and 6 pm to fulfill opening and closing duties and ensure supervision of staff and children.
    • The ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

    Other Requirements:
    • Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education (preferred).
    • Experience as a Director in a licensed Early Childhood setting licensed by the State of CT Office of Early Childhood.
    • Current Pediatric First Aid/CPR and Medication Administration Certifications or willingness to complete certifications within 60 days of hire.
    • The candidate must meet state-specific guidelines for the role.

    Job Type: Full-time

    Schedule:
    • 8-hour shift.
    • Monday to Friday.

    Education:
    • Bachelor's (Preferred).

    Experience:
    • Administration of a Licensed Child Care Center: 3 years (Preferred).

    License/Certification:
    • CPR Certification (Preferred).
