They are looking for a Data Center Technician who will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of hardware, networking equipment, and infrastructure within a data center environment. This is an onsite position based in Wappingers Falls, NY.

Data Center Technician’s Responsibilities and Duties

• Install, configure, and deploy hardware and software components such as servers, switches, routers, and storage devices within the data center environment.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks, including hardware upgrades, firmware updates, and software patches to ensure optimal performance and security of data center systems.
• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot hardware and software issues as they arise. Diagnose and resolve network connectivity, server, and storage problems in a timely manner.
• Maintain accurate records of all hardware and software inventory, configurations, and changes made within the data center environment. Update documentation as needed to reflect the current state of the infrastructure.

Data Center Technician’s Responsibilities and Duties

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field preferred. Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A , Network , Server ) may be considered in lieu of a degree.
• At least 2 years of experience working in a data center environment, with hands-on experience installing, configuring, and maintaining hardware and software systems.
• Experience with MAC (Moves, Adds, Changes) processes and procedures is required.
• Proficiency in hardware installation and configuration, including servers, switches, routers, and storage devices. Strong knowledge of operating systems (e.g., Windows, Linux), virtualization technologies, and networking concepts (e.g., TCP/IP, VLANs). Familiarity with monitoring tools and ITIL best practices is a plus.
