Data Center Director directs and optimizes all operations of a data center facility to ensure data performance, availability, and security. Designs operating procedures and policies for installing, configuring, and maintaining servers, networks, and storage systems within a data center to maximize operational efficiency. Being a Data Center Director monitors environmental conditions to ensure optimal temperature, humidity, and power supply to prevent downtime and protect hardware from damage. Ensures timely, accurate, and consistent technical infrastructure service and presentation to internal and external clients. Additionally, Data Center Director coordinates with outside teams to identify and implement new systems to support existing and future business needs. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to senior management. The Data Center Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. To be a Data Center Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function.     Intention:  The Sr. Director of Data & Analytics will be responsible for leading a robust data and analytics function that will ensure that Universal Audio (UA) can fully leverage the company's data to drive revenue growth, enhance customer experiences, and find efficiencies that lower costs and time to market. You will evangelize and nurture a data-centric culture that fosters a sense of ownership and responsibility for data-driven decision-making

    You will manage a data analytics center of excellence that is fully integrated into core business functions and develop a team of analysts to become adept at extracting actionable insights through predictive and prescriptive analysis.

    You will develop a data architecture and platform that is designed in a way that allows us to build new tools and capabilities rapidly and at scale. You will build team processes and tools that enable UA to take advantage of the latest technologies and trends. You will establish the fundamental building blocks that allow the analytics team to react to emergent needs in the business. 

    You will own a technology roadmap that delivers robust self-service tools that are seamlessly integrated into our business processes with features such as natural language processing and AI-driven insights.

    You will facilitate the adoption of a common language and understanding of our data and ensure data is well mapped, organized and accessible.

    The result of your work to promote and support a data-driven approach to managing our business will enhance the overall efficiency and performance of our organization and position UA at the forefront of innovation in our industry.

    Responsibilities:

    • Manage the analytics center of excellence at Universal Audio to provide actionable insights for the company's overall operations in alignment with the company's overall vision and mission.
    • Manage, maintain, and grow strategic planning analysis, reporting, and core business modeling. 
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Finance, Marketing, Sales, and Product to ensure alignment and execution of strategic initiatives.
    • Drive deep customer and product analytics that lead to strategic decision-making and actionable insights. Develop strong hypotheses on how to increase customer engagement and retention, independently solve problems, and share insights. 
    • Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to track progress towards strategic goals and enable analytical data-driven decisions.
    • Create a common data framework so that all company data can be analyzed in a unified manner.

    Qualifications:

    • Strong analytical skills with the ability to synthesize complex information and make data-driven decisions (effectively tell a story through data).
    • Excellent strategic thinking and planning abilities, with a proven record of developing and executing successful strategic initiatives. 
    • Ability to multitask and manage projects across different parts of the organization as needed.
    • Demonstrated ability to identify market trends and growth opportunities.
    • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire, motivate, and mentor team members. 
    • Proven ability to work collaboratively across functional areas and build effective working relationships with cross-functional teams. 
    • Results-oriented mindset with a focus on achieving measurable outcomes and driving organizational performance.
    • Systems Expertise: Redshift, Snowflake, AWS, dbt, Tableau, R Studio.
    • Programming Expertise: SQL, R, Python.

    Education/Experience:

    • 10 years of experience building and managing a data analytics organization preferred.

    UA Salary Range/Hourly Rate of Pay:  California Salary Range = $215,000 - $238,000.

    Base salary/hourly rate of pay will be based on the cost of labor for the city/state in which the new hire resides, at the time of hire.
