Data Center Director directs and optimizes all operations of a data center facility to ensure data performance, availability, and security. Designs operating procedures and policies for installing, configuring, and maintaining servers, networks, and storage systems within a data center to maximize operational efficiency. Being a Data Center Director monitors environmental conditions to ensure optimal temperature, humidity, and power supply to prevent downtime and protect hardware from damage. Ensures timely, accurate, and consistent technical infrastructure service and presentation to internal and external clients. Additionally, Data Center Director coordinates with outside teams to identify and implement new systems to support existing and future business needs. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to senior management. The Data Center Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. Title: Senior Data Center Architect
Location: Remote
Reports to: Engineering Manager
Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include design install, and support server, network, virtualization, and hyper-converged solutions provided. Assist in Pre-Sales and post-sales activities including, but not limited to; installation, configuration, design, and consulting expertise with networking and server virtualization technologies including VMware suite, vSAN, NSX, servers and blade servers and hyper-converged solutions. Provide successful assessments, deployments, upgrades, knowledge transfer and documentation to some of Sterling’s most strategic customers. Technical certifications for the above technologies and a diverse background in supporting enterprise IT datacenters, highly desired.
The ideal candidate can address all the previously mentioned technologies, speak to them professionally, plan for and implement these solutions, document to DoD standards the finalized deployments, and hand-off to the customer in collaboration with the project team.
