Data Center Director directs and optimizes all operations of a data center facility to ensure data performance, availability, and security. Designs operating procedures and policies for installing, configuring, and maintaining servers, networks, and storage systems within a data center to maximize operational efficiency. Being a Data Center Director monitors environmental conditions to ensure optimal temperature, humidity, and power supply to prevent downtime and protect hardware from damage. Ensures timely, accurate, and consistent technical infrastructure service and presentation to internal and external clients. Additionally, Data Center Director coordinates with outside teams to identify and implement new systems to support existing and future business needs. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to senior management. The Data Center Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. To be a Data Center Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function.     Job Description


     **Basic Requirements:** * Oversees the overall operations and management of Child Care Center. * Supervise all personnel in a fair and consistent manner. * Develop and adhere to the approved budget. * Works daily with the office manager, lead teachers, special programs teacher, school age coordinator and food service coordinator  in the overall management of the Child Care Center. * Evaluates reporting personnel annually. * Interacts with internal and external customers effectively and works to meet and exceed their expectations. * Demonstrates adherence to NMHS\= Mission, Vision, and Values Statement and to Service Excellence Standards and serves as a role model to staff. * Individual understands and ensures regulatory and code compliance (JCAHO, state licensing, OSHA, etc and NAEYC Guidelines.) **Communications:** * Ensures effective communication throughout the department. * Strives to meet all internal and external customer’s needs and expectations. * Must be polite and respond appropriately with all internal and external customers. * Communicates with parents in an open and honest manner while using tact and discretion. * Must make sure Child Care Center Staff are ensuring a happy, safe and stimulating environment. **Budget:** * Approve purchasing all major/minor education supplies. * Manage the revenue and expenses to work with approved budget. * Uses their time wisely and on call 24/7 for emergency situations. **_Know How_** Job Knowledge: Specify required education, licensure/certification, prior experience, skill, behavior, equipment operation, type and duration of on-the-job training, patient population to be served, etc. * Must have bachelor’s degree in early childhood education or related field and a minimum of 5 years experience in childcare. * Current MDHS DECCD Child Care Director’s Credential or MDHS OCY Director’s Child Care Credential; required or willing to obtain within 6 months of assuming the position. * Good organizational skills, communication skills, and budget management skills are essential. * Must have ability to communicate effectively orally. * Ability to follow oral instructions. * Must participate in 15 hours of staff development to retain this position. * Ability to be able to read and write English is desirable. * Knowledge of childhood illnesses and diseases is also desirable.
