Data Center Director directs and optimizes all operations of a data center facility to ensure data performance, availability, and security. Designs operating procedures and policies for installing, configuring, and maintaining servers, networks, and storage systems within a data center to maximize operational efficiency. Being a Data Center Director monitors environmental conditions to ensure optimal temperature, humidity, and power supply to prevent downtime and protect hardware from damage. Ensures timely, accurate, and consistent technical infrastructure service and presentation to internal and external clients. Additionally, Data Center Director coordinates with outside teams to identify and implement new systems to support existing and future business needs. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to senior management. The Data Center Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. To be a Data Center Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function.     Duties:

    The DDPC 1 Operations serves as an essential member of the Executive Leadership Team at SLPC. Under the general direction of the Executive Director and in close collaboration with the Clinical Director and DDPC Quality Management, the DDPC 1 Operations will design, develop, evaluate, and ensure the effective operation of the facility’s adult inpatient and outpatient treatment programs. The DDPC 1 Operations will participate in the development of the facility's short and long term goals; establish policies and procedures to ensure efficient and effective service delivery; supervise, coordinate, and direct the activities of subordinate managers; monitor and oversee staffing, assignments, and work schedules to ensure quality patient care; oversee the admissions and discharge process; ensure that service delivery complies with OMH guidelines and regulatory agency standards; establish and maintain effective working relationships with external organizations to maximize resources and implement program goals; and ensure the maintenance of a safe and therapeutic environment.

    Minimum Qualifications:

    A. Education

    A Master's degree in a mental hygiene discipline (including physician assistant, occupational therapy, physical therapy, social work, speech pathology and audiology, communication disorders, psychology, recreation therapy, rehabilitation counseling, education, nursing), hospital administration, community mental health, business or public administration or other administrative area specifically related to health care, behavioral or social science or a valid license to practice medicine in New York State or Canada.

    AND

    B. Experience

    Six (6) years of administrative, consultative, or supervisory experience in a mental health program, two years of which must have been managerial experience, including one or more of the following:

    1. One (1) year of satisfactory experience in a position as administrative head of a multi-disciplinary treatment team;

    OR

    2. One (1) year of satisfactory supervisory, professional, or administrative experience in the development, operation, and/or implementation of the mental health service delivery system for State facilities, counties, or local/private agencies in two (2) or more of the following areas: program development, management procedures, community organization, resource planning, funding, program proposals, advisory boards, consumer and community advocacy and intergovernmental relations.
