Position Name: Material Control Clerk
Location: TX - Fort Hood Bldg 1957, Murphy Road (TX002)

Starting Pay: $21.50
Position Description : These individuals will be kitting Basic Issue Items and possibly handling CL IX repair parts at the Fort Cavazos Material Fielding Team warehouse. You will play a vital role in managing and ensuring the efficient flow of materials within our organization. This position will support our operations by accurately receiving, storing, and distributing materials to meet the needs of our staff and customers. 

Position Duties

• Receiving and Inspection: Receive incoming materials and compare them against purchase orders or shipping documents. Inspect materials for damage, defects, or discrepancies and report any issues to the appropriate personnel.

 • Inventory Management: Maintain accurate inventory records by tracking stock levels, conducting regular stock counts, and reconciling any discrepancies. Update inventory databases or systems to reflect received, issued, or returned materials. 

• Material Distribution: Prepare and package materials for distribution to various departments or locations within the organization. Ensure that materials are properly labeled, organized, and delivered in a timely manner. • Documentation and Record-Keeping: Maintain detailed documentation related to material transactions, such as receipts, invoices, packing slips, and inventory records. Ensure proper filing and storage of documents for future reference or auditing purposes. 

• Communication and Coordination: Collaborate with internal teams, suppliers, or vendors to resolve material-related issues, such as shortages, backorders, or quality concerns. Communicate effectively with colleagues to ensure accurate and timely material flow. 

• Quality Control: Assist in maintaining quality standards by inspecting materials for compliance with specifications, performing quality checks, and reporting any non-conformities or concerns to the appropriate parties. 

• Safety and Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines when handling materials. Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, policies, and procedures related to material control, storage, and handling. 

• Ability to comply with additional tasks in accordance with company needs.
