Data Control Supervisor supervises the daily activities of data control clerks. Responsible for directing and allocating work to personnel, as well as monitoring and evaluating their work. Being a Data Control Supervisor requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Typically reports to a manager. JOB SUMMARY: The Quality Control Supervisor is responsible for the development, management, and improvements of the Quality Control system (consistent with established standards, customer specifications and production goals). Supervise a team of quality control inspectors; will require regular communication with our other locales and minimal travel to Canada. Provide welding capability and feasibility support; identify and drive welding initiatives to continually improve our manufacturing process. Follows proper safety procedures and standards.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Directs and schedules duties and responsibilities that are in compliance with Hebeler’s Process Map for Quality Control;
Approves incoming materials by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; rejecting unacceptable materials.
Approves in-process production by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; communicating required adjustments to production supervisor.
Endorses finished products by confirming customer specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; returning products for re-work; confirming re-work.
Ability to reach Mechanical Drawings and P&ID’s
Read customer specifications to ensure product conformity
Generate a Process Hit List & Final Hit List for each product and attached unit
Ensure inspection Test & Hold Points are met
Verify & record dimensional measurements of products
Photograph each product when final inspection is completed
Ensure all quality documentation is completed upon the shipment date of product
Help maintain documents for quality files
Must be able to travel to Canada

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of Quality Control experience and education;
Knowledge of ASME code preferred
Knowledge of Welding procedures preferred
NDE qualifications preferred
Completion of Visual Inspector Course preferred
