The Division of Mine Reclamation and Enforcement (DMRE) is hiring an Environmental Control Supervisor in Section I of the Madisonville Branch. DMRE is responsible for inspecting all surface and underground coal mining permits in the state to assure compliance with the 1977 Federal Surface Mining Control Act (SMCRA).

Holders of the Environmental Control Supervisor position will complete tasks such as:

• Supervise staff and advise on complex environmental enforcement problems
• Perform field reviews of all permitting activities and prepares reports
• Review enforcement documents for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with departmental program procedures
• Investigates citizen complaints and requests for inspections

Desired candidates possess the following requisite skills or experience applicable to the position:

• Time management/ability to work under pressure
