The Inventory Control Supervisor will support the Director of S&OP/Inventory, as well as all assigned business units, by supervising counting staff and providing analytical support. This role will ensure the accuracy of the inventory within the warehouse, production, and outside locations. This role requires a keen eye for detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to analyze data to optimize inventory procedures.
MEASURES OF SUCCESS:
- Supervise and train a team of inventory control specialists and ensure they comply with company policies and procedures.
- Administer a program of aisle audits and cycle counts that will be used to monitor inventory accuracy on key items.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including customer service, distribution, production, and quality to correct count issues, review transactions, enter adjustments, and conduct analysis.
- Administer, review, and reconcile inventory counts and transactions to meet the standards of both external and internal auditors.
- Review and reconcile warehouse and production inventory discrepancies.
- Assist the Director of S&OP/Inventory in developing and analyzing reports relating to warehouse and production discrepancies.
- Create, analyze, maintain, and distribute various reports, such as FIFO reporting and compliance, scrap rates, excess inventory, disposals, and inventory adjustments.
- Maintain item entry, bin management, and other inventory records.
- Perform cycle counts and test counts as required.
- Ensure that all inventory adjustments are done in accordance with established company policies and procedures.
- Work on special projects and other tasks as assigned by management.
IDEAL CANDIDATE ATTRIBUTES:
- Experience in Inventory Control in a warehouse setting.
- Associate degree or equivalent experience.
- Understanding of ERP and WMS systems, including the use of scanners.
- Ability to understand and analyze inventory transactions.
- Must have strong leadership, motivational, and training skills.
- Ability to operate material handling equipment.
- Efficient in all Microsoft Office applications.
