ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Supervise and work with the Traffic Control Department at work sites to direct motorists by flagging them away from worker activities, moving equipment, oncoming traffic and perform duties listed below.

• Set up, maintain, and remove temporary work zones. Including warning signs, traffic cones according to ATSSA and DOT regulations.
• Follow all safety rules and regulations and wear proper safety equipment (work boots – 6 inches with safety toe, hard hat and safety vest)
• Supervision must be able to set up and perform lane closures on major highways, set up detours, at job site based on site plan and or contractor directions.
• Generally, works under the Supervision of Project Manager, TCT, TCS or maybe assigned to work independently.
• Create and maintain detailed Traffic Reports daily.
• Adhere to all Company Policies and Procedures.
• All other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Ready and available to begin working as soon as possible.
• Temporary Traffic Control Manager Certification (Orange Card) by the MTBMA.
• ATSSA Traffic Control Supervisor Certification.
• 5 years in setting up traffic and managing MOT on Heavy Highway/Bridge projects.
• Valid driver's license and maintain a clean driving record.
• Have reliable communication to receive work schedule.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Be able to work in all weather conditions and tolerate varying climates of heat, cold, and rain.
• Pass a drug screen prior to employment and maintain a drug-free status.
• Be able to stand throughout your entire shift, hand and arm movement is required.
• Be able to lift 50 pounds.
• Be physically capable to perform all flagging duties.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $42.00 - $50.00 per hour
