Data Management Director manages the planning, designing, and developing of an organization's databases. Develops policies and procedures to lead and manage a team of database engineers. Being a Data Management Director designs and modifies procedures to ensure the performance, scalability, and security of databases. Monitors and optimizes database performance to ensure efficient data retrieval and processing. Additionally, Data Management Director evaluates existing database design to determine necessary updates and collaborates with stakeholders to determine future organizational needs. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Data Management Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget.   • As a Director of Product Management for the Wiland View™ Data Products, you have an integral role in Wiland’s growth. You will partner with client facing leaders and teams to elicit, understand, analyze, document, refine and communicate business needs, so that your dedicated Data Products scrum team can build effective solutions. This requires a broad understanding of US based consumer data marketing, as well as business vision and strategy, to prioritize investment, business value, and delivery. You’re expected to rapidly develop and maintain subject matter expertise over the Data Products product line, to understand the constraints and opportunities flowing from its technical underpinning, and to synthesize feedback from key users throughout the organization. You need to build and maintain a strong expertise about the wider market for consumer data and audiences.


    JOB REPONSIBILITIES:

    • Partner with Data Products SVP to develop and execute Wiland View strategy:
    • Build product expansion plans and maintain roadmaps for the Wiland View™ Data Products.
    • Communicate and collaborate with other product teams on prioritization, feature development, and commercialization.
    • Include and interlock with IT and Sales teams in the development and implementation of plans
    • Develop the products - work with the scrum team to develop new revenue generating products and features:
    • Create and maintain a prioritized backlog of user stories and epics defining features or capabilities for Wiland View™.
    • Ensure the backlog of Epics and User Stories aligns corporate goals and strategies with customer needs, architectural direction, and compliance needs.
    • Lead grooming, sprint planning, and other meetings as required and share results as requested to department management and other stake holders.
    • Accept completed development initiatives to ensure that the work fulfills the proper criteria.


    EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Bachelor’s degree. Must be able to produce college transcripts showing a minimum of 3.0 GPA, if applicable
    • 20 years domain expertise in B2C data products, solutions, and services
    • 10 years of experience supporting B2C focused Consumer Data Products
    • 5 years of experience applying product management methodologies and best practices
    • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum product management writing, grooming, and accepting user stories, preferably with Jira management tools.
    • Strong problem-solving skills and the associated strong verbal, written, and presentation skills to ensure the solutions are enacted.
    • Excellent written and oral communication skills

    • Department: Product Management
    • Compensation Range: $136,000 - 191,000. Total compensation for this role also includes a variable component.
