Data Management Director manages the planning, designing, and developing of an organization's databases. Develops policies and procedures to lead and manage a team of database engineers. Being a Data Management Director designs and modifies procedures to ensure the performance, scalability, and security of databases. Monitors and optimizes database performance to ensure efficient data retrieval and processing. Additionally, Data Management Director evaluates existing database design to determine necessary updates and collaborates with stakeholders to determine future organizational needs. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Data Management Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be a Data Management Director typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments. Data Management Specialist (DMS)

  • OMS Field Services is looking for a Data Management Specialist (DMS) to work in our clients Vegetation Management program. This position will responsible for managing the VMD (Vegetation Management Database) used with Client’s Vegetation Management program. Business conduct must occur in accordance with OMS policies and procedures and be aligned with the goals of OMS and our client.

    Essential Functions:
    • A DMS is responsible for managing the VMD (Vegetation Management Database) used with Client’s Vegetation Management program including receiving downloads of data from field personnel, transferring data in various computer programs, generating, and closing out Work Requests, creating pre-load files, tracking refusals and EC notifications/cases, trouble- shooting the database, printing reports, copying, distributing data, filing reports and performing analyses.
    • The DMS must be able to effectively communicate procedures for use of hand-held devices to field personnel, resolve user problems, maintain VMDSR as directed by the Client Representative, maintain an area equipment inventory, and facilitate the completion of timely and accurate reports.
    • Assure project folders are complete and include all necessary records for the project before they are archived.
    • Other duties as assigned by OMS or the client.

    Qualifications:
    • A minimum of two (2) years’ experience working with computers, office equipment and data entry equipment.
    • Required to maintain a Class C driver’s license, including participating in Employer Pull Notice Program (EPN), with DMV.
    • Conduct a background check, drug screening, and health exam.
    • Approval by Client Representative.

    Environmental Factors:  Indoor and outdoor conditions; exposure to heat, cold, potentially hazardous chemicals, toxic materials; work on/walk on slippery or uneven and potentially mountainous terrain.  Noise level is usually moderate. Physical Demands:  The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.  Ability to perform tasks during a typical 8 hour workday
