Reporting up to the Chief Nursing Officer, the Quality Director oversees the regulatory preparedness throughout the hospital. This Leader will work closely with other department Directors and Medical Staff to ensure that quality improvement projects are being followed and metrics measured. Reporting to the Director will be the Manager of Quality Management and Patient Safety Officer, Infection Prevention, and multiple Quality Analysts.
The Quality Director will fulfill the quality improvement and accreditation responsibilities for the hospital. This Director manages regulatory standards and compliance, as well as licensing protocols. In addition to this role, there will be oversight of the Emergency Operations Program to ensure appropriate response to disastrous situations. Six Sigma or CPHQ (certified professional healthcare quality) certifications are very useful.
