Data Management Director manages the planning, designing, and developing of an organization's databases. Develops policies and procedures to lead and manage a team of database engineers. Being a Data Management Director designs and modifies procedures to ensure the performance, scalability, and security of databases. Monitors and optimizes database performance to ensure efficient data retrieval and processing. Additionally, Data Management Director evaluates existing database design to determine necessary updates and collaborates with stakeholders to determine future organizational needs. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Data Management Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. Director of ABS Data Analytics

  • Position Overview: The Director of Administrative Business Services (ABS) Data Analytics serves as the liaison between departments within ABS. Additionally, this role will collaborate with other departments within Administrative Services Group (ASG) and IT to plan and execute projects, and to improve efficiencies and accuracy of all data flows and analytics for internal and external review. 

     The Director reports directly to the Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) and supports Operating Companies with the same purpose at the discretion and direction of the CAO.

     

    Essential Job Functions  

    • Develop relationships and deep knowledge of core processes within ABS and ASG 
    • Create company-aligned standards and best practice for leading and executing analytics systems
    • Publish and communicate strategies and results to stakeholders and CAO
    • Evaluate challenges within core processes and develop strategies to optimize
    • Identify KPIs to monitor and measure performance goals, and review performance against plans
    • Draft and maintain SOPs as needed
    • Establish and build rapport and partnerships with stakeholders and users, where appropriate
    • Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence by identifying and implementing process improvements where appropriate
    • Conduct all business in a highly ethical manner, exhibiting behavior, practices, and standards that uphold IMC core values
    • Create a safe and positive working environment where employees feel included, recognized, and heard
    • Perform other duties as assigned

     

    Job Requirements

    • 10 years of experience in information technology in economics, statistics, applied mathematics, financial engineering or related field, including 5 years of management and analyst experience
    • Bachelor’s degree in information systems, business, or related field (advanced degree preferred)
    • Proven track record of effectively enhancing processes and collaborating with users and stakeholders in a performance and results-based organization
    • Ability to demonstrate expertise in developing and operationalizing strategies that have elevated an organization’s efficiencies in business processes 
    • Unwavering commitment to quality programs and data-driven process evaluation 
    • Exceptional interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills
