Successful Data Quality Analysts demonstrate successful experience with data quality and managing and resolving large amount of complex data quality issues.  This position requires data analysis, problem-solving, and communication with various data stakeholders. Secret clearance eligibility is required.

    Responsibilities

    This Data Quality Analyst will join a team supporting the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) and will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and consistency of logistics catalog data, ultimately supporting catalog transformation and improved usability and manageability.­­ Responsibilities include: 

    • Rapidly navigate learning curve of complex logistics catalog data, its structure, and dependencies.
    • Execute complex data cleansing logic and data entry tasks to improve overall data.
    • Develop and maintain documentation of data quality processes and procedures.
    • Identify and address data quality issues and discrepancies, working closely with data entry staff and other team members.
    • Collaborate with IT teams to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to data quality
    • Derive insights and analytic narratives from data and visualizations for effective storytelling and clear communication in response to data quality research questions. 
    • Apply critical and analytical thinking skills to translate complex information into understandable and impactful work products. 
    • Oversee and/or support special projects as needed. 
    • Rapidly prioritize competing requirements, understand and simplify client requirements. 
    • Communicate with various data stakeholders through written reports and oral presentations. 
    • Continuously seek opportunities to improve data quality processes and recommend solutions for more efficient data management

    Qualifications

    Required:  

    • Bachelor’s degree in data science, mathematics, statistics, economics, computer science, engineering, or a related business or quantitative discipline. 
    • Experience with leading and/or supporting data management or governance teams to develop management plans, business processes, and data quality plans.
    • Experience executing complex logic for data cleansing
    • Working knowledge of databases and SQL.
    • At least 2–5 years of experience in the field.
    • Superior communication skills, both oral and written. 

    Desired: 

    • DoD experience preferred with focus in logistics data or supply chain data processes
    • Experience working with tools, including object-oriented programming (Python, Java)
