Job Description:
GENERAL JOB SUMMARY:
There are two elements associated with this job description: Configuration Management and Data Management. Data Management involves interpreting contracts and determining programmatic and technical data needed during a product’s life cycle. Configuration Management involves applying and implementing the five elements of configuration management; CM Planning, Configuration Identification, Configuration Control, Configuration Status Accounting, and Configuration Verification and Audit for each program here at KUAS.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Data Management
- Determines the contract requirements regarding the management and delivery of all contractual data deliverables.

Analyzes contract requirements to determine if current data management needs to be modified; recommends changes/new procedures to management and implements approved changes.

Verifies that the data item deliverable requirements are met and comply with contractual data requirement specifications and schedule requirements.
- Trains data item owners on data item contractual requirements.

When required by contract, maintains the Data Accession List (DAL) and library of KUAS/Kratos internal data which has been generated in compliance with the work effort described in the Statement of Work (SOW).

Assesses the data deliverable schedules and identifies impact to future deliveries.

Supports the Configuration/Data Manager, as needed.

Delivers scheduled data deliverable packages in accordance with each customer's requirements. Records and maintains configuration and data management records, as required.

Performs data management audits, analyzes findings and prepares reports as required.

Prepares reports for internal and external customers on configuration and data management activities, including formal Configuration Status Accounting reports to support a product's final configuration.

Configuration Management
- Works in a government/contractor team environment to establish and execute a configuration management program for multiple systems/programs in various stages of design, development or operations.

Supports configuration management, data management, and planning efforts required to final delivery to the customer of assigned programs.

Contributes to the development, documentation, and incorporation of design and product changes.

Monitors the incorporation of configuration change items.

Maintains configuration control databases and provides status accounting of engineering changes to IPTs and program management.

Performs ‘As designed/As built’ reconciliation.

Establishes baseline identification of products through release of specifications, drawings, and requirements flow down.

Controls configuration of baselines through Configuration Control Boards.

Performs duties for both hardware and software.

Plans and/or facilitates internal/external configuration audits.

Must have the ability to think analytically and draw logical conclusions while performing work assignments

Is required to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance at the appropriate level (requires U.S. Citizenship)

Detailed understanding and application of technical documentation and engineering change proposal processes and practices.

Proficient in MS Office applications, including Word and Excel.
Preferred:
- Configuration/Data Management activities

Jira/Confluence experience a plus
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Required:
-
Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Business or Engineering. Additional experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
-
4 years directly related experience.
