    The Society of American Florists is seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to put their data management and customer service skills to work as the association’s Data Management Specialist (or Data Manager, for those with 5 years relevant experience). Your mission is twofold: to ensure data accuracy, security and accessibility across all of our systems, from the member and prospect databases to the integration with the accounting and finance systems, and to help the association optimize its various systems to enhance customer engagement and growth. You will be part of the Membership and Development team and will play a critical role in supporting our membership operations, revenue generation efforts and program management.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Manage, maintain and optimize the association's database and tracking systems (CRM, AMS).
    • Develop and implement data management policies and procedures.
    • Ensure data integrity, accuracy, and consistency across all systems.
    • Monitor database performance and troubleshoot issues as needed.
    • Collaborate with staff to understand data needs for various projects and initiatives.
    • Maintain AMS integrations with third party software (email client, CRM, accounting software, project management software)
    • Process monthly invoicing for dues and non-dues revenue.
    • Improve online customer experience by eliminating pain points and delays during event registration, product purchases and record changes.
    • Generate reports and provide data analysis to support decision-making.
    • Train staff on database best practices and efficient data entry methods.
    • Stay informed about data management trends, technologies, and best practices.
    • Respond to customer inquiries via email, LiveChat and phone.

    Qualifications:

    • Proven experience (3-5 years) in database management or administration.
    • Proficiency with database systems (e.g., Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar).
    • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
    • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
    • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
    • Outstanding customer service skills
    • Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with team members.
    • Full working knowledge of MicroSoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, Powerpoint (or Keynote), Adobe; Dropbox, etc. – and high comfort level with IT systems in general
    • Familiarity with data protection regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) is a plus.
    • Nonprofit or association experience is preferred but not required.
    • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field a plus.
