Data Management Specialist creates, implements, and maintains master data management solutions that enable users to optimize system capabilities. Uses knowledge of end-to-end data processes to analyze, cleanse, and enrich master data elements, and ensure that data flows efficiently and consistently between users and stakeholders. Being a Data Management Specialist provides data governance and ensures data integrity by coordinating data management efforts across the organization. Troubleshoots issues related to master data management and identifies opportunities for improving data management processes. Additionally, Data Management Specialist requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Data Management Specialist work is highly independent. May assume a team lead role for the work group. A specialist on complex technical and business matters.   • The Associated Musicians of New York seeks a Data Management Specialist to fulfill the following:

    Primary Responsibilities

    • Variety of data management, fulfillment of information requests, generating reports, and related tasks.
    • Oversee billing of musicians and employers for work dues.
    • Oversee billing of musicians for membership dues (annually, quarterly, and related notifications).
    • Provide overflow capacity assistance (ex, payroll processing, data entry, quality control, payroll, paycheck filing, and paycheck request fulfillment).
    • Oversee the management of escrow deposits, tracking, and listing within the website.
    • Investigate and report data and coding issues within proprietary software.
    • Examine business processes/workflows and create documentation.
    • Additional responsibilities to be determined as internal workflows and technological tools evolve.
    • Required Qualifications
    • Proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques:
    • 2 years of SQL Query experience.
    • Python for ETL and other data-centric methodologies.
    • Familiarity with IBM Db2 is a plus.
    • Advanced skills with Microsoft Access, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft 365.
    • CompTIA A or related certifications a plus.
    • Minimum three years of experience in the IT field.
    • Strong decision-making and analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex datasets.
    • Detail-oriented and self-motivated with the capacity to work independently and collaboratively, manage time efficiently, and prioritize tasks effectively.
    • Extremely creative and out-of-the-box while simultaneously adhering strictly to established protocols.
    • Ability to learn quickly, respond to rapidly shifting technological needs, and identify and implement solutions.
    • Extraordinarily focused, accurate, approachable, outgoing, dependable, consistent, honest, accountable, forthcoming, highly flexible, open-minded, collaborative, and demonstrates initiative.
    • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
    • Ability to work onsite (NYC, midtown).

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Labor union operations knowledge and experience.
    • Experience in the performing arts and supporting fields.

    Salary & Benefits

    • Position is full-time and at-will
    • Starting annual salary range of $50,000 - $53,000, depending on experience
    • Benefits include medical insurance, paid time off, pre-tax commuter program, 401(k), and defined benefit pension plan
