Data Security Director oversees operations of a team responsible for protecting data from unauthorized users. Develops policies and procedures for identifying, reporting, and resolving security violations. Being a Data Security Director may require a bachelor's degree in area of specialty. Typically reports to a top management. The Data Security Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. THIS POSITION IS FOR THE EVENING SHIFT, TUESDAY THROUGH SATURDAY 2PM TO 10PM. NO OTHER SHIFTS ARE CURRENTLY AVAILABLE.
Responsibilities:
- Patrol and monitor premises regularly to maintain a safe and secure environment
- Monitor surveillance cameras and alarm systems to identify potential security threats
- Respond to alarms and investigate disturbances
- Enforce security policies and procedures to prevent unauthorized access or activities
- Conduct regular inspections of the premises to ensure compliance with security protocols
- Provide assistance and support to visitors, employees, and contractors as needed
- Report any suspicious activities or incidents to the appropriate authorities
- Maintain accurate records of daily activities and incidents
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Security Officer or similar role
- Knowledge of security operations and procedures
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to handle conflicts and resolve issues calmly and professionally
- Familiarity with CCTV systems, access control, and alarm systems
- Basic knowledge of first aid and CPR (certificate preferred)
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
- Must be able to pass a background check and obtain any required licenses or certifications
- Previous military or law enforcement experience is a plus
