As a Data Center Physical Security Specialist, your role involves managing various security components, including biometric systems, hand scans, card readers, gates, electronic door locks, and security cameras. Your responsibilities include conducting condition reports on issues such as malfunctioning cameras or doors, and ensuring the efficient operation of physical security systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee physical security vendors that provide guards, electronic security systems, door construction/repair, fencing, and access controls.
May be tasked with working different work shifts consisting of Day, Mid or Evening/Overnight shifts.
Performs semi-routine repairs, maintenance and installations to physical security components
Performing semi-routine site logs for permits, such as Maintenance Operation Protocols (MOPs) and scripts.
Monitoring the Building Monitoring System (BMS) and responding promptly to semi-routine alarms according to standard operating procedures.
Responding to on-site incidents and taking directed actions
Troubleshooting and maintaining officer equipment (if necessary) following established procedures
Providing assistance to more senior staff infrastructure projects
Preferred Qualifications:
2 years of root-cause analysis experience.
2 years of experience creating and implementing emergency planning
Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical individuals regarding physical security standards and system designs
Understanding of basic IP networking
AMAG certifications are a plus.
Demonstrated low-voltage troubleshooting experience
