    Job Description

    U.S. Bank is seeking a Information Security Manager with demonstrated competence and visionary leadership experience to contribute toward the success of our growing Data Security Initiatives team as part of the Data Security Program. In this role, you will lead a team of specialists and analysts who are responsible for delivering data security initiatives such as Data Loss Prevention, Data Access Governance and other data security configurations for U.S. Bank and identifying areas of concern for remediation across the enterprise to reduce risk. The ability to be highly engaged and collaborative with key program partners and detection solutions in support of this group while coaching this team to a high level of performance is critical to the success of this role.

     

    Basic Qualifications
    - 5 years of experience in program or project management for information - security, focusing on data loss prevention or data protection.
    - Proven leadership and team management skills, motivating and inspiring direct reports and cross-functional teams.
    - Strong analytical skills, analyzing data sets to make data-driven recommendations for improving data security controls.
    - 5 years experience with Data Loss Prevention and other data security technologies, including configuration, tuning of rule-based policies, and reporting/metrics.
    - Knowledge of data security, privacy concepts, technologies, industry trends, and regulations.
    - Demonstrated influencing, negotiation, and conflict management skills.
    - Excellent planning, organization, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
    - Customer-focused perspective, adaptability, and teamwork.
    - Effective prioritization and execution of tasks in high-pressure environments.
    - Decision-making skills, including prioritization and delegation.
    - Strong communication and presentation skills.
    - Interpersonal negotiation skills, effectively communicating with managers and stakeholders
    - Industry recognized certifications, such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, CySA , etc.

    Job Description:

    • Lead data security program initiatives, defining requirements for new and enhanced data security controls.
    • Maintain working relationships with enterprise members in risk, compliance, privacy, and business units to coordinate implementation activities.
    • Serve as the primary escalation point for data security analysts, coordinating issue troubleshooting with engineering or other business resources.
    • Experience with data classification methodologies and tools.
    • Drive program execution and delivery, maintaining program roadmaps, projects, tasks, and resource allocation.
    • Act as the core contact for audits, risk and control assessments, ad hoc inquiries, and escalated business issues.
    • Prioritize control enhancements through collaboration with stakeholders and users.
    • Ensure best practices and procedures are followed, including testing and change management routines.
    • Communicate consistently with stakeholders to understand expectations and provide program updates.
    • Analyze data to identify and provide data-driven recommendations for new control enhancements.
    • Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001, or others.
    • Experience with risk assessment methodologies and tools.
    • Knowledge of emerging technologies and trends in data security.
    • Understanding of cloud security principles and practices.
    • Project management certification is a plus.
    • Experience working in regulated industries such as healthcare, finance, or government.
    • Familiarity with data governance principles and practices.
    • Knowledge of encryption technologies and best practices.
    • Familiarity with security assessment and penetration testing methodologies
    • Understanding of regulatory requirements such as GDPR and PCI DSS.
    • Experience with vendor management and third-party risk assessment.
    • Ability to translate technical concepts into business language for non-technical stakeholders.
    • Continuous learning mindset, staying updated with the latest developments in data security.

In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $123,165.00 - $144,900.00 - $159,390.00
