Position Title: Mobile Security Officer
Position Pay: $20.00 per hour
Pay Frequency: Weekly
Position Type: Part Time
Work Hours: Saturday: 12 hour shift - 05:00 PM to 05:00 AM and Sundays: 10 hour shift - 5:00 PM-5:00 AM
24 Hours per week
Work Location: Forest Hills, Queens, NY
Position Requirements:
· Driver’s License (Clean No-Points)
· NY Security License
Responsibilities:
· Conduct Mobile Patrol of the area to prevent and detects signs of intrusion and ensure security of doors, windows, and gates.
· Answer alarms and investigate disturbances.
· Monitor and authorize entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and other persons to guard against theft and maintain security of premises.
· Write reports of daily activities and irregularities such as equipment or property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences in official forms.
· Call the police or fire department in cases of emergency, such as fire or presence of unauthorized persons.
· Circulate among visitors, residents, or employees to preserve order and protect property.
· Continually inspects the security system, equipment, and machinery to ensure that all are operational at all times and to detect evidence of tampering.
· Wears assigned uniform in a manner which exemplifies the image of a security office and is groomed in a proper manner, while on duty.
Qualifications:
· Ability to work in a team-oriented environment with the ability to work independently;
· Must be at least 18 years of age or older as required by applicable law or contractual requirements;
· Must have a high school diploma or GED,
· Ability to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing, for the purpose of public interaction and report writing;
· Strong interpersonal skills are important as most of our positions require regular interaction with the public;
· Ability to maintain satisfactory attendance and punctuality standard;
· Neat and professional appearance.
· Ability to handle both common and crisis situations at the client site, calmly and efficiently
