    Starting Rate:     $60,000 - $70,000 annually

    The YWCA of Western MA is dedicated to eliminating racism and empowering survivors. The YW provides a safe place for survivors of intimate partner violence, sexual assault, human trafficking, and homelessness. Our programs and services include crisis shelter and transitional housing for survivors and their families, 24-hour bilingual hotline, counseling, SAFEPLAN court and medical advocacy, HIV education and intervention, and supervised visitation. The YWCA provides services at several sites, including Holyoke, Northampton, Westfield, and our primary Springfield campus.

    Position Purpose

    The Data and Compliance Manager will work with the director of grants, COO and CEO to oversee the YWCA's data management team. Will oversee all aspects of the data management system, Awards. Responsibilities involved with overseeing Awards include managing and building: users, permission settings, forms, workflows, bulletins, and reports. It also includes on-boarding new programs and ensuring current programs are built into the system effectively, using the software to its fullest capacity. In addition to overseeing Awards, the Data and Compliance Manager will work with program directors to compile and submit reporting required by funders on annual, semi-annual or a quarterly basis. On a larger scale, the Data Manager will work in tandem with agency leadership to tell the story of the YWCA through the collection of reliable data. The story that the data tells is integral to the agency's ability to receive funding.

    Responsibilities

    • Provide oversight in the management and tracking of the YWCA's data management system, Awards for Victim Services (AVS).
    • Manage a team of data analyst
    • Develop, maintain and implement data management policies and procedures for effective data management as needed.
    • Conduct and oversee data entry, data management, and quality assurance protocols.
    • Build, maintain, update, and regularly run reports in AVS to ensure quality assurance of data and to report to funders.
    • Develop data management strategies and make recommendations as needed for the continuous improvement of AVS data management.
    • As updates are made in AVS, migrate data in the system to ensure ongoing continuity of data.
    • Communicate with the YWCA's AVS Client Success Manager to ensure that AVS is being built out in such a way that keeps the YWCA's AVS in communication with AVS's routine updates to reports, essential to reports such as the ESG-CAPER.
    • Coordinate logistical support for primary data collection, including collaborating with funders to ensure timely and accurate data collection.
    • Provide ongoing training and technical support for YWCA staff in all areas required to ensure staff are on a continuum of moving toward proficiency in the use of AVS. This will include designing and facilitating data management training sessions for all staff, including a training for new staff.
    • Regularly monitor and evaluate the integrity of data being input into the AVS data systems that could affect analytical results.
    • Interpret and translate data into a consumable product for agency staff.
    • Continue to build out the AVS system so that it best meets the needs of programs while also utilizing the software to its fullest capacity. This includes building in and improving upon all programmatic forms and their subsequent reports, bolstering the sup porter feature, clearly defining the programs and their respective users and creating privacy settings that accurately reflect this, and building out the Awards Connect, secure web forms, and bulletins feature.
    • Work with programs on an ongoing basis to ensure ways in which AVS can continue to be refined to best serve the needs of the agency while also using the software to its fullest capacity.
    • Assist with recognizing and upholding digital security systems to protect the integrity of the data information.
    • Collaborate with agency leadership to put together the compelling story told by the YWCA's data. This will be used to write competitive grants, secure donations, inform the agency's strategic plan and contribute to larger bodies of data collection in Hampden County.
    • Oversee/coordinate internal audits
    • Create and complete quarterly and annual reports through Awards, and ensure all grant deliverables are met;
    • Perform other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's Degree in Education, Sociology, Public Health, Public Policy, Psychology or related disciplines or a minimum of 3 years' experience in data management or analysis.
    • Demonstrated proficiency in professional office software, including Microsoft applications Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
    • Demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
    • Demonstrated ability to prioritize, work independently as well as engage in collaborative research in a team setting.
    • High levels of accuracy and organization, and the necessity to meet deadlines working in a fast­ paced environment.
    • Ability to analyze, manage and organize large amounts of data.
    • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and recognize situations in which confidentiality is required.
    • Ability to facilitate data presentations, i.e. in person or via a virtual platform.
    • CPR and First Aid certification must be obtained within the Introductory Period.
    • Must be able to be covered by the agency's insurance policy.
    • Must be able to lift 40 lbs.
