    The Role

    The Supervisor serves as the people leader and operational leader of vertical-specific NuHarbor Security Managed Services (MS) analyst team. This position reports directly to the Security Operations Center Manager and is accountable for ensuring that their team operates effectively, professionally, in a timely manner and in the best interest of NuHarbor, all Managed Services divisions, and our clients.

    • Responsible for hiring decisions, team development, and performance management for a team of Security Operations Analysts
    • Collaborates on tasks, issues, and escalations with clients, sales, and other Services functions.
    • Responsible for the analyst team representation on MS portions client kick-off calls, sales, and analyst handoff calls.
    • Represents the analyst team on MS portions of client kick-off calls, sales, and analyst handoff calls.
    • Supports the sales organizations by assisting with client scoping calls, and as an escalation point for client satisfaction issues.
    • Identifies and scopes opportunities for improvements in efficiency, quality, maturity, and capabilities.
    • Collaborates with Project Management team to ensure success with project planning and execution.
    • Collaborates on creative and innovative technical solutions in line with Managed Service strategic directives.
    • Accountable for ensuring internal and client reporting is produced to standard.
    • Proactively addresses and manages customer issues to help clients win.
    • Maintains direct report development plans to foster excellence within the SOC.
    • Maintains current certifications and training to support our clients effectively.
    • Delivers performance reports to SOC management.

    Your Foundation. The requirements for this role:

    • Bachelor's Degree preferred or seven (7) years' working in directly applicable Cybersecurity or related technical positions.
      • We are always open to proven success and experience in lieu of a degree
    • Must be authorized to work in the United States
    • Five (5) or more years in the Information Technology or Cybersecurity field.
    • Understanding of various cybersecurity regulatory frameworks (NIST 800-53, IRS Pub 1075, CMMC, etc.)
    • Experience providing recommendations to harden existing security controls.
    • Experience identifying gaps within security control architectures.
    • Strength in communicating complex topics in an easily digestible manner.
    • Ability to identify and communicate risk related to projects.
    • Ability to connect security objectives with business value.
    • Experience coaching and mentoring a technical team.

    Additional capabilities that will differentiate you for this role:

    • Demonstrated experience with security event triaging and threat hunting executed through both a SIEM and EDR toolset.
    • Experience with multiple operating systems (Linux, MacOS, Windows), their command lines, processes, and file systems.
    • Demonstrated ability to delegate, provide direction, and audit.
    • Hold at least one relevant industry certification (GCFA, GCIH, CEH, CISM, CISSP, etc.)
    • Experience executing initial triaging and response through a SOAR platform.
    • The ability to make complex subjects understandable.
    • A knack for building relationships and connecting with people.
    • The drive to be successful and perform well in all aspects of your operational and strategic work.
    • The flexibility to work over several projects and balance your workload.
    • Strong communication and leadership skills.
    • Experience with data visualization tools and strong analytical skills.
    • A conversational understanding of security operations and cybersecurity
    • Location: Ideally, beautiful Burlington, VT, but also open to other parts of New England with frequent vision-sharing visits to our headquarters in Colchester, VT.
