Data Security Supervisor supervises professionals in the development, implementation, and maintenance of standards and systems that will ensure secure information systems and data. Implements standards and audit procedures to identify and resolve security violations. Being a Data Security Supervisor conducts disaster recovery and cyberattack preparation and training. May require a bachelor's degree in area of specialty. Additionally, Data Security Supervisor typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Data Security Supervisor supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions.
