Data Security Supervisor supervises professionals in the development, implementation, and maintenance of standards and systems that will ensure secure information systems and data. Implements standards and audit procedures to identify and resolve security violations. Being a Data Security Supervisor conducts disaster recovery and cyberattack preparation and training. May require a bachelor's degree in area of specialty. Additionally, Data Security Supervisor typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Data Security Supervisor supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. Job Summary:
This individual will provide supervision and direction for a multi campus health system. They will supervise a department that is responsible for 24/7 staffing and services.

A minimum formal education of High School Diploma or GED is required. Associates of Bachelor’s Degree or certification equivalent with major or minor in Criminal Justice is preferred.
Three to five years of experience in security field or law enforcement field required (Healthcare Preferred)
Bristol Health Mandated Educational Requirements:
General orientation at time of hire. Fire/Safety/Infection Control annually. Similar programs deemed appropriate by management. Ongoing leadership training.
Physical Requirements:
Significant walking. Manual dexterity and the ability to perform a full range of body movements. Vision corrected to comply with State of CT driver’s license standards. Capable of hearing and verbally communicating.
Work Environment:
Normal patient care environment. Exposure to varied outdoor elements. Occasional exposure to patient elements. Stress related to confrontational interactions with patients and visitors.
Cognitive Requirements:
Mental flexibility to perform diverse duties. Good communications skills, written and oral and ability to follow written and oral instructions. Able to remain calm and make appropriate decisions in emergency situations. Good organizational skills along with basic computer skills.
