Data Security Supervisor supervises professionals in the development, implementation, and maintenance of standards and systems that will ensure secure information systems and data. Implements standards and audit procedures to identify and resolve security violations. Being a Data Security Supervisor conducts disaster recovery and cyberattack preparation and training. May require a bachelor's degree in area of specialty. Additionally, Data Security Supervisor typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Data Security Supervisor supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. To be a Data Security Supervisor typically requires 3-5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. Thorough knowledge of functional area and department processes. You will participate in a 12 to 15-week internship located in Parsippany, New Jersey for 20-32 hours per week.As a Data Analytics Intern, you will be an integral part of our team, contributing to real-world projects and gaining valuable experience in the field of data analytics. You will have an opportunity to share new perspectives, fresh ideas, specialized strengths, and technical skills to help grow our business. You will also have an opportunity to present an End-of-Assignment Presentation on the topics you have learned.Successful completion of the internship program could lead to a return internship for the following summer or employment at the organization in the future.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:1. Data Collection and Cleaning:• Collect, clean, and organize raw data from various sources.• Perform data quality assessments and ensure data integrity.2. Data Analysis:• Analyze large datasets to extract meaningful insights.• Analyze data trends and patterns to identify key insights and opportunities for improvement3. Reporting:• Use statistical methods and data visualization tools to present findings.• Develop clear and concise reports and dashboards using tools such as Excel, Tableau, or Power BI,• Prepare and present reports, summaries, and visualizations to stakeholders, highlighting important findings and recommendations.4. Collaboration:• Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements.• Collaborate with team members to integrate analytics into decision-making processes• Automate data collection and reporting processes, where possible, to improve efficiency.5. Learning and Development:• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies in data analytics.• Participate in training sessions and workshops to enhance analytical skills.6. Documentation:• Document analytical processes, methodologies, and results for future reference.7. Other duties as assigned by management
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AT ENTRYAdditional qualifications may be specified and receive preference, depending upon the nature of the position.
Education/Experience:Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master’s degree in business, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field.Competencies (as demonstrated through experience, training, and/or testing):• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions such as pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and data visualization.• Proficient in data manipulation tools (e.g., Python, R, SQL).• Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).• Effective communication.
