JOB SUMMARY:
The Junior Data Analyst will support our growing data analytics initiatives by working closely with application and business teams to gather requirements, analyze and visualize data, and provide actionable insights that drive decision-making across the organization.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Gather and analyze data from various sources including databases, applications, and external providers.
Transform, clean and structure data to support reporting and analysis.
Design and build interactive dashboards and visualizations using BI tools or programmatically.
Perform exploratory data analysis to identify trends, patterns and opportunities.
Relate to team members, client personnel, and decision-makers to help build a common understanding of requirements and support for potential solutions.
Assist in developing and automating reports and KPIs to track business performance.
Collaborate with application team and contribute to machine learning and AI projects.
Document data processes, data dictionaries, and analysis methodologies.
Provide technical and non-technical communication support to team and other stakeholders.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field such as Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Management Information Systems (MIS), etc. preferred.
Experience:
1-3 years demonstrating proficiency in data analysis, visualization, and/or business analytics.
Skills:
Strong proficiency in SQL for querying relational databases.
Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
Knowledge of BI and data visualization tools such as PowerBI.
Familiarity with statistical analysis concepts and techniques.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Eager to learn and develop skills in advanced analytics, artificial intelligence, and machine learning.
Passionate about leveraging data to solve business problems.
Experience with Python for data manipulation, analysis and visualization a plus.
