We are looking for a talented Data Warehouse Developer to support UCOR’s mission!
Responsibilities -
Develop and support current data warehouse and application data exchange using existing ETL processes.
Analyze gaps in processes and devise intermediate and long-term solutions that support UCOR’s mission employing SSIS, SQL server, and Oracle.
Lead in planning, designing, and developing a new data warehouse and application integration platform to enhance loading of data from and into different source/target systems.
Communicate with IT project management and clients to understand their business goals and objectives at the direction of an application lead.
Provide quality assurance when interpreting/importing data from multiple sources and maintain data mapping documentation.
Basic Qualifications -
Due to requirements of federal government contracts, must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident with the ability to remain and work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
Proven experience with SQL Server and Oracle PL/SQL database commands and syntax
Fundamental knowledge of data modeling techniques such as Star and Snowflake.
Design and implement ETL procedures for intake of data from both internal and outside sources; as well as ensure data is verified and quality is checked.
The ability to review, analyze, modify, and create ETLs, utilizing SSIS, testing, debugging, integration and implementation processes.
Document technical needs for ETL processes and databases, and ensuring optimal technical infrastructure is utilized.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to navigate multiple complex systems and priorities.
Collaborate with infrastructure team to carry out monitoring, tuning, and database performance analysis.
Ensure all data warehouse architecture codes are maintained in a version control system.
Experience with data security management practices including PII and encryption.
Experience with Business Services systems – Finance, Procurement, Human Resources
Possess an aptitude in assessing emerging technologies especially cloud and unstructured data.
Even better if you have one or more of the following:
· Experience with multiple data analytics tools such as PowerBI, Tableau, Python scripting.
· Experience with API development and management.
· Experience with analytics and business intelligence platform architecture for a hybrid, on-premise/cloud, including internal and third-party clients.
· Experience with Azure Data Factory and API Management.
· Experience with Engineering, Records Management, and/or Construction systems.
Education/Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or other relevant discipline and 12 years of experience in IT ;
or
Associate’s degree or technical diploma/degree in Information Technology and 16 years of relevant experience in IT;
or
20 years of Enterprise level IT experience in an administration, support and/or oversight capacity
