  • Laramie, WY FULL_TIME
  • Do you love watching sports and want to break into the sports industry?  Do you enjoy football or more specifically College Football?  If so, come join Scouting Heroes.  We are looking for quick learners with a high attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to cover College Football games for the 2024 season.  The typical amount of games ranges from 3 - 7 but could be more dependent on the area you are located.  Interviews will start in mid-late April and if hired, training would tentatively begin in late July.
Please check your spam folder, as interview invites have gone to spam in the past.   Do note, it can take a couple days to hear a response due to the high volume of applications we get for open positions.

A cover letter will be required when applying.  We are looking for a paragraph on why you think you'd be a fit for the role and also why you are interested in College Football.

    JOB PURPOSE:
Attend College Football games in Laramie and surrounding areas of up to a 1-hour travel distance (less is better but that is our maximum range so please keep that in mind before applying).  Record and collect in-time real data on our Data Collection Tool and work closely with the game-day support team to ensure data is being recorded quickly and accurately.  We are fueling the next generation of fan engagement.

Note: This is a part-time, independent contractor role for the 2024 College Football season.  Performance dictating, there is the potential of being invited to cover the 2024 - 2025 College Basketball season as well as being asked back for future seasons.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
    • Be reliable.  We are looking for people who can commit to every game that is planned for coverage in their area.  We have a zero-tolerance policy when it comes to “no-shows."
    • Driven. Must be one who communicates quickly, wants to learn, is ready to work, and enters data within the company expectations.
    • Communication.  We are looking for people who are very comfortable on the phone, responsive via email, and any other company communication platforms.  Communication is essential to this position.
    • Prepared for training and game days.  Take training seriously and achieve the determined deadlines so you can apply that knowledge into entering perfect data on game days.  This is a fast paced, high intensity environment.
    • Be honest. Integrity is critical to the overall collection of sports data.
    • Football Knowledge and passion for the sport.  Must have interest in football but even more so, College Football.  Knowing the rules and having the drive to shore up any gaps in rules knowledge will be needed.
    • Have fun. We are a fast paced, small team that prides itself on continually improving.  We are looking for people that thrive in fast-paced, competitive, and high stress situations.
    • Provide feedback. Work closely with our Training, Quality Control Team, and Scout Managers to ask questions.  We want you to succeed in training and we give you the tools to do so.

    • Reliable transportation
    • Full availability during the College Football season.  This means Saturday's but also the possibility of weekday nights.
    • Strong knowledge of football, but specifically coming into the interview and training (if hired) with knowledge of College Football.
    • Strong team player that has the ability to communicate and work with others, adapt, and problem solve in real-time.
    • Access to a computer for training.
    • Strong comfort level with navigating an Iphone.

We are an equal opportunity employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, age, disability, gender identity, marital or veteran status, or any other protected class.
