Duties Description:
The Information Technology Specialist 3 (Programming) will perform activities including, but not limited to, technical activities related to writing instructions (code), applications program development, program and system testing, and business/systems analysis and design and development of database systems for agency specific applications. The position is expected to provide application support for OMH business units and clinical programs.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
Minimum Qualifications
Candidates must have a bachelor's or higher level degree in any field including or supplemented by 15 semester credit hours in computer science with at least 9 semester credit hours in programming languages AND two years of experience in computer programming;
OR 2. a bachelor's or higher level degree in any field AND three years of experience in computer programming;
OR 3. an associate's degree* with 15 semester credit hours in programming languages AND four years of experience in computer programming;
OR 4. five years of experience in computer programming.
Additional Comments:
Specific scheduled hours and telecommuting availability for this position will be discussed during the interview process. The number of permissible telecommuting days for each employee will be determined by the current work demands/assignments, as well as program operational needs and employee performance/productivity, but may not exceed 50% telecommuting in a two-week payroll period.
