As the Warehouse Operations Assistant, the job duties includes receiving and shipping material within a timely manner, packing orders for shipping through the WMS, and verify all order for pick accuracy. The Warehouse Operations Assistant will be supporting both the Shipping and Receiving Departments with daily task and responsibilities such as; releasing and printing pick tickets, material management, coaching and developing TEAM members, maintaining an engaging work environment, and ensuring optimal workflow throughout both departments.
Able to speak Spanish is a Plus!
Job Type: Full-time.
Shift and Schedule: 8 hour shift, an occasional weekend may be required during peak seasons.
Day shift: Monday to Friday.
Hourly Pay Rate: $18 - $23
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Able to plan, organize and manage multiple projects and set priorities.
- Responsible for creating a positive, safe work environment.
- Monitor TEAM members performance through the dashboard and make necessary recommendations to the supervisors to help improve overall productivity.
- Proficient understand of Inventory and Bin management.
- Able to use computers, email, scanners, and a working knowledge the Warehouse Management System (WMS) to track inventory, product usage, create work orders, or document printing.
- Ability to work within budget restraints.
- Support departmental goals, tasks and other duties assigned.
- Ability to recognize a problem, root cause and begin initial troubleshooting, and resolution efforts.
- Inspect incoming stock for conformity, report shortages, damages and other discrepancies.
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers.
- Previous Leadership experience required.
- Thorough knowledge of receiving, shipping, inventory systems, supply chain management, logistics, customer service, reporting, system analysis, equipment, and warehouse functionality.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Minimum of 3 years experience operating e an Electric Reach Truck, Order Picker and Stand-Up industrial equipment.
- Familiar with the use of RF Technology.
