    The BEST person for this position would be described as someone with a positive attitude who enjoys working as a team to toward a common goal and is not afraid of lifting heavy objects.  Our Warehouse Associates have a very important job to make sure our inventory is labeled correctly, handled with care and loaded on trucks in a manner than ensure it will arrive to guests’ homes in perfect condition. It is imperative that we have people on these teams who enjoy and understand the importance of their roles and have a strong attention to detail.

    Position:  Warehouse Associate

    Reports to: DC Manager 

    Purpose of position:  To Aid in the Delivery of a Legendary Experience to customers and those that serve them by ensuring company objectives are met in the areas of warehousing and merchandise handling. 

    Overall Objectives and Priorities:

    3. Operational Excellence is driven by systems and processes that ensure things are done right the first time without waste.
    4. Continuous Improvement is measured and driven in all important key variables effecting Safety, Customer Experience, and Operational Excellence  

     

    Key Accountabilities:

    • Ensure the proper delivery of merchandise to customer by proper handling of merchandise in warehouse and during loading.   
    • Unload, inspect and put away in-coming freight deliveries in the designated places with proper protection.
    • Use proper and safe receiving procedures on all incoming merchandise.
    • Be mindful of the safe and economical warehousing of all inventories.
    • Responsible for inspection and seeing that touch up, cleaning, polishing and whatever is needed to properly deluxe the merchandise prior to delivery or pick up.
    • Assist in all related activities as needed.
    • Be responsible for productivity of the highest level. 

     

    Additional job requirements

    • Must be able to lift up to 100 pounds without the aid of another. 
    • Must be able to bend, stoop, push and pull in the performance of operational duties
    • Must be able to sit or stand for up to eight hours at a time while performing work duties.
    • Must be able to work in various fumes, odors, chemical agents, and solvents.
    • Must be able to work in various temperatures and environmental conditions.
    • Must have vision and hearing corrected to be able to legally operate a vehicle under various environmental and traffic conditions.
    • Must be able to maintain balance and climb two to eight feet on a ladder in order to hang and /or change signs or lights.
    • Must be able to work at heights of up to 25 feet with harness, to operate lift and obtain merchandise from storage racks.
    • Must be able to maintain amicable work relationships with fellow employees and perform all essential job functions in an environment that will sometimes include increased levels of work-related stress.
    • Undertake and complete other work-related responsibilities as assigned by store owners.
    • Undertake and support any policy, change, system, or work rules the company implements regarding the purpose of this position.
