Data Warehouse Specialist performs technical administration duties for the development and maintenance of data warehouses. Provides technical support and coordination during warehouse design, testing and movement to production. Being a Data Warehouse Specialist acts as a liaison between engineers, data architects, programmers, and analysts. Implements and enforces standards and procedures to ensure data is managed consistently and properly integrated within the warehouse. Additionally, Data Warehouse Specialist manipulates and combines data from various sources to enlarge and enhance the data warehouse. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Data Warehouse Specialist work is generally independent and collaborative in nature. Benefits: Standard; Part-Time, Non-Exempt employees are eligible for but not limited to the following:
Education and Work Experience: High School Diploma or GED; Warehouse Managerial Experience Preferred (Warehouse Experience Required)
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required: Ability to work independently with little or no supervision. Maintain a high level of confidentiality. Have a Wyoming Drivers License and qualify to drive TSA vehicles. Must obtain OSHA compliant Forklift Certification within 6 months of assuming this position.
Thrift Store Warehouse Operations:
1. Ability to supervise and inspire clerk-sorters to ensure maximum productivity in processing raw donations from drop-off to sales floor.
2. Must be able to prioritize all donations quickly and accurately to ensure the best selling items will get on the sales floor ASAP.
3. Must be able to implement the vision of the Store Manager for all warehouse related operations.
4. Ability to manage the store in the absence of the Thrift Store Manager and the Assistant Thrift Store Manager.
5. Must have excellent customer service skills, with the ability to treat customers, donors, volunteers, and other employees with respect.
6. Must be able to drive a box truck for regular out of town and in town pickups of donations.
7. Ability to operate the bailer safely and meet quotas for “Rag Sales.”
8. Must be able to deliver Bales of Lading and other receipts/delivery slips, etc. to Assistant Thirft Store Manager in a timely manner; must be organized.
9. Ability to earn certificate of completion from TSA Driver’s course and be approved by TSA as a TSA driver.
Software-related skills:
Microsoft Word and Excel required, Outook. Working knowledge of integrated database applications and ability to use new software programs with basic training.
Scope of Position/Essential Functions:
The Warehouse Specialist will provide assistance to the Thrift Store Manager/Assistant Thrift Store Manager for all functions of the warehouse operations of the store with responsibilities to include.
• Will provide oversight of all donations from in take through preparing for display on floor.
• Will be responsible for meeting “rag” bundling (bailing) goals and expectations
• Will supervise employees, AARP employees, and volunteers in the warehouse.
• Will assist with assigning work schedules and proper staffing of the warehouse.
Will maintain a neat and orderly warehouse and yard, assisting with and assigning appropriate daily cleaning/tidying.
• Will assist the Thrift Store Manager/Assistant Thrift Store Manager with training of employees and volunteers regarding policies, procedures, and daily work assignments.
• Will assist with store security especially the warehouse and yard area.
• Will assist the Thrift Store Manager/Assistant Thrift Store Manager with warehouse employee evaluations.
• Will provide outstanding customer service to our merchandise donors and shoppers.
• Will make recommendations to the Thrift Store Manager, Assistant Thrift Store Manager, and the Envoy In-Charge regarding changes, modifications, needed repairs, and warehouse operations.
• Will assist with the training of warehouse workers regarding all safety rules and regulations.
• Other duties as assigned.
