Data Warehouse Specialist performs technical administration duties for the development and maintenance of data warehouses. Provides technical support and coordination during warehouse design, testing and movement to production. Being a Data Warehouse Specialist acts as a liaison between engineers, data architects, programmers, and analysts. Implements and enforces standards and procedures to ensure data is managed consistently and properly integrated within the warehouse. Additionally, Data Warehouse Specialist manipulates and combines data from various sources to enlarge and enhance the data warehouse. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Data Warehouse Specialist work is generally independent and collaborative in nature. PURPOSE
The Warehouse Specialist is responsible for ensuring the accurate shipment to customers. Responsible for filling and shipping customer orders according to established guidelines.
POSITION DEMANDS
A minimum of two to four years of relevant warehousing experience is required. Proficiencies in Microsoft Office Suite, ERP software and SAP IM Module preferred. Strong verbal and written communication skills, analytical skills, and the ability to problem solve while being a team player is required. Must be dependable and motivated. Candidate must posses strong time management and organizational skills. Ability to work some evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed. Ability to safely operate mobile conveying equipment including forklifts, hand-trucks and pallet jacks also required. Possessing a TWIC card is a plus. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, talk or hear, reach lower than shoulder height, and use hands and/or fingers to handle or feel. The employee is periodically required to sit, reach above shoulder height, stoop, kneel, crouch or squat, and twist. The employee is regularly required to lift, push, or pull up to 25 pounds, periodically required to lift, push, or pull up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
WORKING RELATIONSHIPS
This position reports directly to the Plant Manager administratively, and Warehouse Manager functionally. Internal contacts includes company personnel from various locations including plants, corporate, A/P services team in India, and on-site contractors. External contacts includes vendors, delivery personnel and customers.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Manage inventory cycle counting and physical year-end inventory
2. Perform warehouse walk through
3. Create, read, and/or sign JSA's as needed
4. Shelve, organize, maintain material
5. Prepare shipments per plant in a manner that is safe to transport and unload
6. Load/unload trucks
7. Assist with training new hires on SAP processes and warehouse operations
8. Communicate equipment maintenance and records with Maintenance Department as needed
9. Complete trainings and certifications as needed
10. Assist to ensure the efficiency, cleanliness, and orderliness of the facility are maintained at or above standard
11. Order / receive goods and record in SAP
12. Stock material
13. Maintain inventory (control)
14. SAP: reorder points, restock, capturing inventory movements in/out
